Fund Raising
It was not really possible to attract grant aid
until the Association took ownership of the hall. As the legal
wheels turned, various local fund raising activities took place including
regular quizzes, a street party, coffee mornings,
music
nights, a
dance, prize draws, bridge competitions etc.
A regular
second hand bookshop
on Saturday mornings was opened in the hall itself and ran for
around three years.. Over its life it raised around £2000.
These local fund raising activities continued while the task of
seeking larger grants was stepped up. The local
SWRI worked
particularly hard supporting the hall project.
The
ACH 100 Club
was set up in September 2008 to provide a small regular income. We
are always looking for new members. Why not consider joining? You
can find out more about it
