November 2011 Acoustic panels fitted to Ayton Community Hall. Since the refurbishment there has been a problem with reverberation making it difficult to hear well. This has now been resolved with the fitting of 16 acoustic panels - some suspended form the ceiling and some fitted to the walls.
September 2011 Ayton moved up the ranks to 2nd place in the Scotland's Floral Gateway Competition in the small village section, behind Greenlaw.
September 2010 Robert Kerr from Ayton wins Borders Bowls Singles Championship. More information here.
